How do you reckon is the best way to handle a situation whereby those in the same room with you are using so much inside jokes. They almost seem to do it consistently and you have to be the one getting invited in or even taking over the conversation.? *Hope I made the question clear enough*
Say you went visiting a cool female friend and her other friend from school, who seems interested in her comes after you're there, then the guy keeps creating inside jokes to sort of butt you out. How'd you take that.

I experienced it and I must say I never found me in such before but I handled it properly im (following law of least effort-and being more outgoing in general. Cracking jokes that were more central too). Just wanted to hear what y'all had as ways of dealing with these.
