Interview Advice?

Hi Folks

I got a couple of big job interviews next week, any advice as to how to approach them?

They are for management jobs, about at the level or slightly above where I am at the moment.

I have real problems with interviews. I get lots of them but it always takes me months and months to actually convert one into a job (much longer than average judging by looking at the record of friends and colleagues).

And the thing is I rarely get bad feedback. In fact they usually say I was really good but......

Despite the good feedback it still takes me ages to land a job. Its not a case of "oh I nearly did it that time so next time I will prevail"

Also, what often happens is: one interview the feedback will be "he has great experience but did not come across very well", then the next interview it will be "he came across very well/was very impressive but did not have the right experience" then the next one its back to "really good experience but not the right fit.." and this can go on for over a year.

Any pointers/similar experiences/insights?

Thanks in advance

Relax :)
You're already burdening yourself with an interview that hasn't even happened yet.

Be in the moment, you're talking about something that you're going to experience in the future.

Ask questions about the job
Talk to other people before the interview so you remain calm
Don't be shy but don't be overly extroverted so you don't come across as arrogant
Smile
Laugh if you get the joke they made, if you didn't just smile a little.
Don't be needy, you will rock the meeting by being yourself because who you are deserves this job.
BE NORMAL

Take the meeting because this is the job you are passionate about and love. You can't seduce women if you're not into women.
Point out how this was something you've always wanted to do, why and how this company may be correct to fulfill your dream.

Do some other things so you remain active and have a life outside right now. You don't live in a garbage can right?
Shoot some hoops, play some Xbox games, call and talk to your friends about it whatever, just do it :)

Both went well I think, thanks. Reckon I have a good chance with both to go through to the next stage. Adopted at least some of your recommended strategies so thanks!
