Is there a good guide for messaging on online dating apps?

I got bored and made a shill account. I've learned that men are incredibly boring and all sound the same. Of the dozens of dudes who messaged me only one sounded interesting.

I recently read Chase's article on online dating vs real life. There is a sentence about getting good at whatever medium you choose. So if I'm going to do this then at least I can not suck at it.

I turned to google and found some weak tips. They are all like "use her name", "reference something in her profile", etc. Trust me, women are bored of responding to comments about that one hobby or one photo every suitors reference. "Hi Stacy, I see that you like food. Have you tried this restaurant?" haha kill me now

Most of the examples are some type of dancing monkey entertaining women. I've also read the texting and emailing articles on GC. Not sure if they apply. At least not completely.

Are there good resources and guides for online dating messaging that you've liked?

Ideally I can figure out some generic openers so I never have to think about them again.

I used Coffee Meets Bagel. I dn't know if that makes a difference or it isn't any different from tinder. I'm also in my 30s and Chinese. I don't think these things matter in real life but online seems different.
