Zac, you post a lot of good stuff, but sometimes I have no clue what you are saying
Golden rule I know "treat others as you wish to be treated" but why "It's nothing personal"?

Sure, in today's world, you have to do the "treat others as you wish to be treated" because the way business operate online BUT under the surface, it is a battle. Everything is somewhat battle. Given an example, you and me can be religious but once a girl comes in, it's competition. People are going to deviate you by using morals as deception and then claim the moral highground if they lost, and this includes your friends, family.

People are going after what they want. At surface level, we are all innocent world peace motherf**kers, but below that, it's totally different.

p.s: Not saying people are ought to screw you but a healthy dose of paranoia is important.

Nice post, Zac.

To expand on this:

We're all living in cities (most of us are), everyone's a stranger, reactions are based on split-second impressions before people even know you. Not personal.

If some girl screws you over or breaks your heart, trust that she follows the same patterns with other men she dates too. Feels personal; but not personal.

Some grifter screws you out of your money or possessions; feels personal; not personal. He does the same thing to everyone... another sucker's born every minute, he says.

Some gal goes after your reputation to improve hers; feels personal, not personal. She'd screw over anyone she saw a similar opportunity to elevate herself over in the same way.

People often take things as a sign that they are personally inadequate, when the case is more they just need to shore up the impression they make, screen the people the let into their lives better, or hone their bullshit detectors.

What someone does to you, he does to other people too. It's not personal, it's simply what this other person does.

Wow, this is actually quite a relief to read. Especially the part I bolded - it helped me find some peace with an old flame.

Hey Zac, keep bumping those posts, man. Even though I don't understand all your posts, I find myself trying to understand what message you're trying to convey, and for what reason anyway :) I can tell you are on a journey to understand the ways of the world like myself, and thus, I appreciate your posts.
