I'll be going to the big cities here soon, previous posters have said the girls there can be quite crazy in a good way but I've recently heard that hardly any speak English - how can you deep dive - I can imagine with such conservative girls that is particularly important but this makes it difficult? Is this the case? any ideas?

I have no prior experience but I'm sure the things would most definitely help you are:

• Great Fundamentals: You should be great with them to stand out and make yourself notice. Posture, eye contact, mannerism, gestures, fashion. This must be really on point.
• Kino: If the girl doesn't speak english or almost nothing, I'm betting some kind of kino-focus game is the way to go.

Cheers!

I'm pretty sure most young(18-25) educated japanese people know enough english that you should be able to communicate with them, and they're more than happy to practice their english with a foreigner. Especially if they're female and the foreigner is tall and white.

MAN! You're gonna have the time of your life there!

Check in a hostel if you can, they're really fun, not a hotel and go to Roppongi!

I have a small guide about Tokyo on the off topic board if you have any other questions feel free to contact me

Just got back and I had no luck at all. I went to rompongi one night, and shibuya another. Language barrier was definitely an issue too. One thing I noticed was that the Japanese guys are extremely assertive with the women there. So if you want to have any sort of a chance, you will have to be bold and go up to a lot of girls. This was probably where I failed...don't assume that just because you are a foreigner that they will be all over you.

One other thing, avoid ANY bars that don't charge cover. You should expect to pay 2000 - 3000 yen to get into a decent club. Have fun man and let me know how it goes.
