Jealousy (related to failure to get a girl)

How do you all handle issues of jealousy? Say...when a girl you like, or hooked up with and were pursuing, goes home with a different guy. I know this is related to an abundance mentality...are there other tools in the kit to prevent this from happening, and dealing with it?

I understand that jealousy is bad all around. Yet, very recently, I found myself feeling it.

Seriously, after a few rejections, rather than trying to fight bitterness and jealousy, i welcome it and say to myself that it doesn't matter if a girl rejects me because she doesn't matter.
One time i became so bitter that i approached a couple (the girlfriend was very pretty, and the guy was very ugly) just to fuck their day up. I flirted with the girl so obviously. The girl was quite taken aback and the guy was giving me the most hateful stare, haha.

Though i wouldn't do this if you were advanced at approaching, and you wanted to improve the quality of your approaches (girls respond best to warmth), but by doing this, you keep approaching, and some girls like the arrogant, insensitive shadow of darkness you become.
