I have a two day weekend coming up and i'm dedicating both days to getting over my anxiety.

Friday I will scout locations and focus on eye contact and saying hello. I'll start conversations with 5 people before calling it a night.

Saturday I will make eye contact with 30 people and say hi to 15. I'll be doing this at a mall or market during the day. Wish me luck friends.

So I had an interesting weekend...

On friday I hit my first bar around 7 and felt incredibly awkward. Everybody that was there was in a large group and there wasn't any pool or live music or some other social frame for me to be there by myself. I sat for about 30 minutes and took off to find my next bar. I ended up giving in and texting a female friend of mine to hang out. We spent the night with a group of friends and I ended up kissing her. She got on top of me and started grinding against me. I ran my hand up her leg (she was wearing a dress) and she pushed it away and got off me. We went back to the group of friends and hung out for some time before I kissed her a bit more and said goodnight.

I believe she's very attracted to me but I really liked this one so I defaulted to boyfriend mode and framed poorly. I doubt there will be any sex unless I decided to get into a relationship with her.

Today I went to the mall with the goal of saying hi to 15 people. This was incredibly stressful. I ended up doing laps at the mall and it took me 3 hours to work up the nerve to get to 12 before I went home.

I focused on saying hi to women I found attractive and they either totally ignored me or looked in a dismissive manner and smiled. I believe I got one genuine hello back.

But I did it. I got fairly close to my goal and really made strides with my social anxiety. I'll have to do this next weekend and continue to get comfortable with saying hello.

the right date makes getting her back home a piece of cake
