So I went on a date on a Saturday, which was in a little Mediterranean restaurant, we had some wine and appetizers, and had a short walk afterwards. At the end of the date, when we were saying goodbye, she said she "enjoyed herself immensely", then I just touched her hair, smiled, and said "I really like you" (which I believe might be a mistake) and kiss-closed her (she actually leaned towards me first).
I dropped a funny text message the next day, and then tried to call her on Wednesday (no communication between us Saturday till Wednesday). To my amazement, she responded "Who is calling?" and then the call dropped. Now, I've never called her before, so she may not be able to recognise my voice, but she may also have deleted my number (?!). I sent her a text to ask her if she has bad reception. The next day I got a facebook message that her phone was dodgy and she got my text this morning (Thursday). In my reply I threw a joke about technology like it was not a big deal, and then told her directly that I want to see her the coming weekend. I was expecting her to accept, but she said she's really sorry and that she had a lot to study and catch up (not sure whether to believe that or not). At the end, she said "Hopefully catch up soon though". My reply was simply "Don't worry, I completely understand. Good luck with your uni work, and don't study too hard ". I deliberately didn't suggest another date, because I don't want to look or sound needy.
On Friday I went to the pub and saw her flatmate, and just told her to say hello to her from me. Nothing more.
So the question is - what to do now? Would you guys think it will be better not to contact her again, and wait for her to make a move (to see if she's interested at all) or try to arrange another date for this weekend? Also Valentine's Day is coming this Thursday - should I drop her a funny/cocky message, try to arrange a date, or do nothing? I am confused because after the kiss-close I thought I've done a great job and the girl is mine, but now time is passing and nothing is happening, which is not great.
Thanks for reading all this stuff and sorry if there are any mistakes (English is not my first language). Any comments are appreciated! Thanks in advance.
