maddox and roosh make me scared of trusting life coaches and seduction gurus

So when I was growing up they were a couple of seduces and alpha males that I really looked up to, Roosh was one of them, someone even more alpha than roosh was a guy called Maddox, he had a site called the greatest site in the universe, he was pretty red pill,and autored a bok called the alhabet of masculinity,
after sometime just like roosh and many other bloggers,he stopped writing blogs and started doing YouTube ,I guess maybe YouTube had more money,
just like many red pill writers .when I first saw him he really did not look like what I had expected when I was reading his posts,

When I was reading about seducers I just assumed that they were people who had their life together, I had always felt like seduction is more than just collecting lays ,you have to also have your life together,one of the seducers that I respect so much is seppuku because not only is he a good seducer but he has his life together, he has money ,he has value, he has dignity and he is an all round emotionally stable great guy,
I had always imagined a seducer to be like James Bond,socially savvy,emotionally unflappable and tight fundamentals.
Roosh looks like a bum and Maddox looks like a goblin, they did not seem to be people who are even remotely well off,
apart from lacking fundamentals,they also did not seem to be either socially savvy or emotionally stable,
Roosh had a meltdown and started talking about religion,, and when a co-host of Maddox slept with his ex-girlfriend,maddox had a meltdown, he cried,he fired his co host, and stalked and doxxed and trolled for an year,it reminded me of how mystery had a meltdown when somebody slept with his ex girlfriend,.
I know of a seducer in Kenya who has a blog that offers life advice yet he is a broke jobless weird guy with no fundamentals and an outrageously poor approach to lay ratio.
,all these things really make me start to lose trust in seducers,Chase seems legit,but man, I really don't know which guys are legit and which guys are just cool on paper but their lives suck in real life,
its like most gurus are either not even good seducers or they may be good seducers but do not have their shit together.
maddox and roosh and mystery really left me disenchanted,
what are your thoughts on this?

About Roosh, I read some of his stuff, but he never gave me the feeling of being "alpha". He always came across as disillusioned and not exactly positive about life. Compare that to the extremely practical write ups of guys like Teevster or Bacchus. There is a huge difference in vibe. You should have screened better.

Also I really dislike the word "guru". Makes it all sound too mystical for me.

I've always heard negative buzz around Roosh's work. Along the lines of red-pill, angry, etc. I'm sure he has some valid points and interesting perspectives to offer. But when it comes to "negative" work like that, I always avoid it. Same with MGTOW.

I don't want to intoxicate myself with negative thoughts about women and life. I know about the capacity for humans to do ill. Not just women, I note. But there's capacity for good. For me, it's good to be aware of the bad. But no reason to stew in it and shape your mind and identity around it.

These groups never give me the vibe of fulfilment and contentment.

By comparison, Chase's material is pretty chill in vibe. Practical vs stewing in hate and vile. Same for Mark Manson too.

The only thing I liked about Roosh is his writing style, and also that he was relatively realistic and didn't fill your head with dreams in regards to what was possible with 'game'

Also this guy is over 40 years old now and last time I checked he had no job, no relationship and no kids, so his "traditionalism" is just bullshit rationalization. An average chode with a job, a wife and 2 kids is far more "traditional" than Roosh.

i think this is a valid point if someone is only a seduction guru,but most of these guys inevitably enter into the life coach territory,the moment you start teaching other people how to live their lives i feel that at the bare minimum you have to have your life together.

Long ago I came round to thinking that if these pua 'gods' came across as wierd to me then that's most probably the way they came across to girls and so I can discount their advice.

I think so too,I dont know wether they get lays or not,but I think there i something to be said of being cool.
I knew a couple of weird guys who got lays even with a lot of issues,(emotional instability,quick tempers,dead end jobs,drinking habits,).

First it is your own misconception that people who are good at seduction have their life in order or are "normal" by society's standards. There is no correlation here at all. They may be normal people, they may have their life in order, they may not. You can still learn seduction from people who are not well-adjusted generally.

Second I don't know what you are talking about when it comes to fundamentals. Peacocking that gets you opened 20 times a night usually looks VERY weird compared to that guy in suit you are describing.

Nobody here advocates bad posture, in fact I have written extensively on how to avoid exactly that. Neither Mystery nor Ross have bad posture.
