Man ...I will just be honest with you guys...I live in Kenya....off the net I have bought clothes..software and a bunch of books...normally here is how it goes down...there is a PayPal option...a credit card option and a bank account option.....I just use the bank account option....send funds from my bank to the specified account and voila....I get my goods.....man....we have a seducers what's app group ...most of us students of chase...I was telling me the horror story of trying to buy anything from here when you don't have a PayPal account or a credit card..these things aren't universal...in Kenya I know like only 2 people who have a credit card.....and they are some old dudes ....I tried messaging the support...they told me to get a PayPal..as a person who regularly buys stuff of the net...and this is the first time i have encountered any problem......could you guys please just introduce a bank account option

Ree-

Thanks for the feedback, man. Sorry for the inconveniences.

Do you use Alipay? Or how are you purchasing things on Alibaba?

The trouble with bank transfer is there's not an easy way to set up a wire between a bank in Africa and one in America as a purchase method. The bank transfer options between Africa and America would require you to go through checkout, get a receipt with our bank account details on them, go to your bank in Kenya, and wire us money from your account. And then whenever we got the amount, we'd finalize your order and you'd get access to the purchase. Usually you'd pay about a $25 to $50 fee to send the wire, on top of the amount you sent.

When you purchase on Alibaba, I assume what's happening is your payment goes to a local African bank account owned by Alibaba, and that's how you're making bank account purchases (and presumably avoiding wire transfer fees). People use debit cards to make bank account payments in the West, and those use the same gateways as credit cards (e.g., banks team up with Visa or MasterCard to issue debit cards, and they work the same way as credit cards, except the funds come from your bank account).

Anyway, if it's Alipay, I can see if we can set that up on GC. If it's not Alipay, I suspect the only way we could do this would be if I opened up a business bank account in each African / Middle Eastern / Indian subcontinent country and set up payment gateways for those (which is a bit beyond me at the moment). Let me know if you're using Alipay though, and I can explore.

I have a Barclays account...(most African banks are in cohorts with some bigger international bank)..Barclays and stanch art are real popular here.....but anyway..if I could just request an option where I can pay to the account it would be super...for alibaba...I pay to a regular bank account...it is not alipay....they confirm ..then send me the goods ....you would not need to set up many accounts....with daz 3d they are a small company and the bank was in some unheard German place...dresdner bank or something...anyway as long as it is a bank account..I can pay funds directly to that account from kenya wherever the bank may be....Africans are always buying shit from abroad because everything they make here is shit.....if you get time check out the check out on daz3d.com it is very ideal..and they are a small company. ..ion..josh .skin man and mystique(some gc followers here in Africa) worship you like a god...don't be surprised when you finally travel to Africa and get some bizarre cult worshiping you like some sort of deity..sacrificing virgins and shit....keep up the good fight while I rack some more lays and rejections(but mostly rejections..lol)

@Ree: Does your bank issue you Mastercard/Visa Debit cards? if yes, then it would work when using it to buy Girlschase products. I used my Mastercard issued to me by my bank (GTB in Nigeria) to order the Ebook a few years back and it worked.

yea... I had that happen to my VISA card from my other bank - they stopped allowing international purchased with their VISA debit cards. And my main bank has restricted MasterCard debit card international purchases to $1000 per month.

There is a shortage of dollar here in Nigeria caused partially by lower oil prices and "mother-fucking" militants that are blowing up the gas and oil pipelines because they want to arm-twist government to do their bidding (bribe them)... they claim they are fighting for their people but the bastards only want to bully the Nigerian government to give them money.

It really sucks living a third world country.... but i just have to make the best of what I got... it is way better than living in South Sudan or Burundi...
