Was watching End of Watch the other week and one of the lines got stuck in my head

"If you can live without her, man up and cut her off. Don't string her along "

You guys think this is true or just a good line for a movie

Nah, because if a quote like that were true then most of us wouldn't ever get laid ;)

Besides, that also implies that if you can't live without her then you keep her around and become super clingy and needy because you have no other options... then, that pushes the girl who you can't live without away from you and you die lonely.

So no - the quote is not a good one.

A2h,

It really depends on the context of the quote. From the last part saying, "don't string her along," it almost sounds like the quote might be saying "don't keep seeing and sleeping with a girl who wants something more from you when you don't want something more from her." In that case, the quote is correct. You don't want to set incorrect expectations for a girl and have her be hurt in the long run (if it's avoidable).

Of course, if it's also implying that you should only be with a woman if you can't live without her, then, as Zphix mentioned, it just means you're probably super clingy and need to work on yourself more to become an independent man that can live his own life regardless of the women that come into it and/or leave it.
