Was at a street festival the other day and happened to be feeling particularly at ease and looking pretty sharp, although wasn't there with the aim of picking up.
I got a number of long, direct, blatant stares from passing women, one of them on a date. I tended to look away soon but slowly (if you know what I mean), following which the women concerned seemed to quickly drop me from their consideration.
I wasn't intimidated so much as I think the whole "staring each other out" thing is a little odd and a little cheesy (though I know girls often like cheesy and it can therefore be a successful tactic).
What is the best thing to do when you get one of these? (I know, I know, approach! I have not really started on that journey just yet).
Thanks
