I just locked a thread per the OP's request, as the thread was opened to ask for practical tips (which it got), before folks jumped on debating possibilities/likelihoods. In particular, there was a question about whether the thing the thread starter was asking about was even possible, and to what age (he was asking about getting girls as an older man).
I'd like to point out that these are two WHOLLY different mentalities about, well, anything:
Think of this example: a film-making forum where someone starts a thread on "How to Get Your Production Financed." On that thread, a bunch of folks who've successfully gotten productions financed discuss tips and share their approaches to getting financing.
Then someone who's never had a film financed before makes a post to say, "Is it really realistic to expect that your film can get financed? How many film producers are really successful getting their films financed?"
These classes of question are categorically different.
The guy who is doing something, who has had success doing the thing, who wants advice from others on how to better do the thing, or do something related to it that he hasn't done yet but is positioned to do, is not worried about "possibilities" for the thing or "likelihoods" of it or anything of the sort. He already knows how to do it, or is already far enough along on the path that he is pretty confident he will be able to do it, provided he does the right things.
The guy who is wondering if something is at all possible, or is very frequent or only something that people with rare skills are accomplishing, is in a very different place. He either has not started that journey yet, or has not delved into that specific area. He may not know anyone in real life who is successful at this whatever-it-is. It may seem like something unbelievable or mythical to him.
If you see guys asking "How do I do X?" but you have questions about "Is X possible?" or "How frequent is X, really?" the place for those questions is in a separate thread. Guys looking for specifics on how to do a thing are necessarily farther along than guys wondering if the thing is possible or how frequent or easily achieved it is. The former are in the "how to make it happen" stage; the latter are still in the "figuring out if this is even something I could realistically attempt" stage (hopefully, those latter guys will make it to the former stage at some point -- but they aren't there yet! The place for those questions is always going to be a separate thread, to avoid any kind of derail).
