Hey guys I'm running in to an interesting problem for myself. I keep meeting girls and consistently end up shocked just how FAST they are willing to move with me. So much so that my options never even seem apparant to me until after, when I'm able to sit down and analyze it. For example:
I met a cute girl walking out of a store I was shopping at and it was raining heavily. I noticed she had an umbrella and I casually open with "care to share an umbrella with a stranger?" She winked at me, popped open the umbrella and came over to me with it. We talked as she walked me to my car and I snagged her number. She said she had a boyfriend but flirtatiously said she could always use a new friend as I suggested coffee and stimulating conversation.
Fast forward and we're texting (I've read Chase's how to text a girl cover to cover quite a few times) and I set up a date while shes sending some flirty texts. She informs me next week is good as she just got her bachelors and shes going home for summer. Perfect, I think I can help her blow off some steam from finals
anyways she didnt text me back the day that worked but I waited 24 hours and dropped her another line and she responded with omg I'm so sorry I forgot to text back blah blah blah. I'm leaving sooner than I thought can you meet tonight? I'd love to see you. Shit. Friday night is a logistical Nightmare here as everything closes unless going to the city which is about 15 minutes away. And I was going to a get together so we'd have to meet later.
I called her up to let her know I'd be out late but we could chill after and I said I'd come up with somewhere to meet in an hour or 2 and text her and then I go are you allowed out that late as a joke and she laughed and goes of course I live alone l, well i have a room mate but she's never home. Like a complete dumbass I go ok cool but looking back I feel like i could have said something like "why don't we just meet up there" but I totally missed it even though she A) is leaving town in a few days B) supposedly has a boyfriend but still has to see me before she leaves even though I've been nothing but flirtatious.
So my long story question basically comes down to how do I pass to this more intermediate stage and start recognizing escalation windows when they happen and act on them? What mindset did the more advanced guys come up with to even start being aware of the fact that girls are literally inviting them to smash and just want a guy to step up and do it?
