I had a spontaneous meetup with a girl last night. We went to a few bars, had a few too many drinks and eventually retired to my place before moving to hers. She was very receptive to my compliments and was comfortable holding hands and sitting close to each other, but every time I tried to escalate to a kiss (verbally or physically) she pulled back and made any number of excuses. I challenged her each time, but ultimately we parted in the wee hours of the morning with the mutual agreement that we would meet again soon.
I have some regrets about the way I handled things, but for a first attempt I think it went better than it had any right to given all the mixed signals. Now I'm nervously anticipating a text from her that will decide whether we'll make a second attempt or if I'm back to square one.
I should probably write a field report for the sake of getting some feedback, but I think I've got enough insight into the situation to know where I could improve my technique for next time. I'm more than happy to go at her pace, but if this ultimately fizzles out it could be pretty devastating. Fingers-crossed for me please, gents
