I don't know if you've read any of the Jack Reacher novels.

The movie by Tom Cruise wasn't great, but for the most part, his character does display hints of masculinity. Deep voice, holds frame. Albeit seems to be marketed towards the whole 'feminist movement', there are still some useful tips in there.

Hitch, with Will Smith. He becomes a sap by the end of it, but at the start he's spitting game like wildfire.

My personal favorite might be, the Count of Monte Cristo (2002). Happy go lucky naive teen (easily trusting, reactive, etc) has his life flipped from betrayal, hardens and comes back a wise, but calm man, still thirsting for betrayal.

Hey Slay!

If you want a TV series where the main character acts as a real man, unafraid of holding his frame and of taking what he wants from life, I greatly advise you to watch "Mad Men".

The series revolves around all aspects of the man character Don Draper's life, his professional life in advertising, his family life, his past, his various mistresses and conquests, and how he juggles with all. All the guys in the series are pretty alphas by our standards, but the palm goes to Don Draper. Study his body language, his style, and how he holds his frame. Incredible! I love it.

Slay wrote In my opinion these days it's so rare
to see a film where a man lives by
his own rules, doesn't bend his
frame, and is dominant. Do you guys
want a to check out some shows/
movies where you can learn from the
characters?
Other than checking out some of the
old James Bond stuff -
One seriously underrated show I
haven't seen mentioned here is Hell
On Wheels. Cullen Bohannon is a
great character and Anson Mount did
an incredible job.
If you guys want to see a character
with unbreakable frame, calm and
collected, and isn't afraid to brake a
few rules, then I really suggest you
check this show out!
If anyone has seen this show, what
did you think about it?
I have seen the Vampire Diaries, but
personally, I found Damon to be too
disingenuous and full of himself for
my tastes. It screams insecurity in
my eyes.
Feel free to post what other movies
and shows you found had characters
you could learn something from!

Yea, you're totally right. Hell on Wheels is an awesome tv series. Slow gunslingers movement, deep voice with a purr, bad ass character, and what I love the most - his piercing eye contact. You should check out Peaky Blinders too. Thomas Shelby, the major character is awesome. He has good fashion sense, talks little and is quite witty. He has a powerful walk. What surprised me the most was that he had one characteristic of old sex symbols - he most times looks away to ponder when being spoken to or talking. This shows his dominance over that person and presents him as a thoughtful person. He also does everything he can to protect and grow his family. Also, the latest transporter actor is cool. He has a slow walk with the shoulder swagger, deep voice and is quite witty too. The one disadvantage he has is that he's quite guarded and doesn't look too genuine or accommodating. Also, check our Dracula the series, the main actor has a really sexy voice and really witty and quite the ladies charmer.

I actually checked out that article
yesterday. Peaky Blinders seems
interesting!
I wonder, if it is unwise to ponder
that way with women you want to
sleep with?

Just pondering in general, not when
it's called for, IE: pondering when
she's being boring or aloof
This bothered me too. After reading about the looking away to ponder, I was thinking if I'll do same for girls I'm trying to seduce. Although after reading that article I haven't watched much of those old time movies, but through my observations from peaky blinders and intuition, I've come to a conclusion. When talking to family, male friends and acquaintances, you'll general adopt this style. Still, you can't look away always. You'll alternate between long stares into the distance and short (but slow) eye contacts. When you want to make a serious point you have to maintain eye contact and even make physical contact like hand on the shoulder, etc. It get tricky when talking to female friends. You should flirt with your female friends, and you can't do this looking away. So whenever you're not flirting, you'll alternate between staring off to the distance pondering and looking back at her, smiling, touching and winking. The staring off into distance is mostly used in long conversations. As for the girl you're seducing, you have to follow the normal way you've always known. The only time you stare off is to give the bored look when she's being boring, going into unnecessary topics or to make her reengage you. When talking to her, you should shut the world off and just imagine it's only the both of you that exists.
Some things to note though:
When staring off, it should show on your face that you're pondering on what is being said. This can only be achieved by you sincerely pondering on what your speaker says
It is easier to stare off when you're doing the talking
You should do active listening while staring off - smile at something funny, nod your head, give appropriate affirmations, etc
If you suck at eye contact then you'd be doing yourself more harm by practicing this.
Be careful with staring off when talking with superiors as it might seem rude.
I am still learning more about this as I practice it, so not everything is a 100% guaranteed. Plus I need to see those old movies. Cheers, Slay!

you miss 100% of the shots you don't take

Movies:
Rebel without a Cause, James Dean's body language is a work of art. I haven't seen anyone with anything quite like it.
Indiana Jones- Chase said Harrison Ford is one of the few on par with Sean Connery as far as sexiness goes. I agree but think he has more of a rogueish vibe, which can be fun.
Top Gun-Tom Cruise has great fundamentals overall but especially in this. Slow spreading smile especially.
Ghosts of Girlfriends Past- Mccougnahey (however you spell his name) is a huge dick but his sexual game is fire, more of a game film than a manly one.
Troy-Brad Pitt's character is decent, but as far as real men go, Eric Bana. Both have excellent frame control.
Gladiator (a strange choice but a current FWB confessed yesterday morning that she finds Russell Crowe in this to be really sexy, also check him out in Proof of Life and 3:10 to Yuma). His frame is amazing.
Deadpool- If you're a talkative type, his voice is amazing. Engaging, sarcastic, and just the right amount of sexy (when he's a normal person).

Tv shows:
I remember watching Hell on Wheels and noting the gunslinger walk earlier this summer, very nice. I think part of Damon's appeal is that girls see the cockiness as a facade and that he is insecure, but he's very byronic regardless so they see it as a shell they have to break through, cause *swoon* he's so damagedddd!!! However whenever I model myself after him it doesnt seem to go well, so he may just not be a good role model for some. Additionally I would throw Vikings in there, the protagonist has the best frame control I've seen. Ever. He manages to stand out in a group of very manly warrior-types.
The Night Manager with Tom Hiddleston is a good one for the smooth-but-dangerous vibe. He starts off very brooding and as a bit of a bitch but by the final episode he's grown into basically James Bond.
For testosterone, go watch Spartacus. Watch Spartacus, Gannicus, and Crixus.
I concur with Mad Men.

Crixus is just a manly fuck. Great fundamentals+unwavering frame. I prefer Gannicus myself (my hair will look like his once its a bit longer) but I can see why he'd appeal. I like Whitfield's spartacus as well, but the newer spartacus I find dull.

I personally like Draper, but Mad Men bores the shit out of me so I can never watch more than an episode at a time.
