I need some new tunes.

Here's some of my favorite lifting tunes.

Rob Zombie -Dragula

Joyner Lucas - Stranger things

A$AP Rocky - Cocky

Weeknd - Reminder

*Warning these next ones are a bit heavy*

Architects - Holy Hell

I, Prevail - Bow Down

-------

I find that songs with big drums or good bass make me lift that extra rep haha

What do you guys listen to at the gym?

@Velasco

I'm a fan of EDM, but never thought about listening to it in the gym. This is good stuff!

I'm sure you've heard of this guy, but The Midnight is worth checking out if you haven't.

@Fluxcapacitor

Thanks for all the recommendations. While She Sleeps is awesome man!

Old school Gangster rap my G.

Young Jeezy, T.I, Gucci Mane, Lil Boosie, Lil Wayne's harder underground shit, UGK, Webbie.

Nothing that gets you more amped to lift weights or do sprints then listening to people talk about drug dealing, killing people, and mistreating women

Just be sure to do some yoga afterwards listening to Bach and Mozart afterward to get all the cortisol out of your system

Haha @Mr.Rob damn right!

That shit gets you amped. After listening to emo music, rap is like a breath of fresh air with its cocky confidence and I’m the boss vibe.

Def gotta take a shower and zen out after like you said though

although you can get your happy-positive G vibes cake and eat it too, check out “internationally known“ by Supernatural.

I don't have experience nor have read many studies about the effect of musical genre on the efficacity of an exercise, but musical tempo has been shown to have an effect on spontaneous exercise performance. As the music tempo increases, so does the intensity of the exercise. Based on your preferences here's are some great tunes that I hope you will like.

Kvelertak is a really great band, two of my favorites:

Most of Airbourne songs should be great for work out, my personal favorite:

This is kind of hilarious and also badass. It's the DBZ soundtrack. If you want to become super saiyan at the gym, do it like the pros do, with epic music...

I love playing "epic" music, eg bands like Two Steps from Hell. Makes your workout feel epic, like some movie shit.

Good examples:
