So I been in the community about 20 years, and i can tell you I am one of the happiest guys in the community constantly..... This is despite of being older, ethnic, not rich, suffer defeated break ups, was not welcome in the seduction community and had to go against top guys slandering me for years, had to adapt to usa coming from a latin country after high school not knowing anybody, awful break ups, biz failures etc.... I did not say i don't go into low momentum, i did not say i don't get angry, i did not say i don't get depress... I am human, what i said my default stay is HAPPY/CRAZY/FUN DUDE.... People may think i am angry cause the way i behave on the internet, but is an ACT a STYLE.... I call it fake angry So i am going to backwards engineer the why in this post, maybe it can help somebody....

Environment.- I come from a latin country were people are notorious for being fun, happy people, party people, players.... But this can not be replicated, but i will tell you why environment is crucial, specially the people you surround yourself with...

Remove yourself from people and environments that are toxic, bring you unhappiness, gives you stress.... This includes girls on the side, girlfriends, friends, family,work, people in the community, forums, virtual groups.... You need to be able to walk.... This is extremely important because the environment and the people you surround yourself with have a massive influence on your life... Now don't do like red pillers just walking away... First try to have a convo. Then, try to work on making things better and put a lot of effort, if that does not work just walk away..... I can give you many examples:

- had girls that were not coming into my frame, and i worked on it till they did, when they did not they were out... Caveat.- one hit me, that is a hard next, no matter what, one fb accused me falsely of rape again same thing.... In forums i just put out good content and then people were confused of why what other elders were saying did not match the results they were getting from my stuff, they became followers and the other people had to walk or convert.... In private groups if they were too toxic, i tell them to fuck off and i walk away... Simple! I can go on and on, but you get the point...

- Learn seduction.- Maslow shit involves relationships and belonging... You need to master seduction that will give you the freedom of choice, relationships in your terms and sex.... We are human and we need human connection. But getting women as a seducer from TRUE RAW SEXUAL PASSION VS exchanging sex from anything other than that, will make sure you are going to be wayyyy happier... Had a boarderline black piller take my coaching rambling on the forum about depression.... took my coaching found hot girlfriend depression gone.... I seen this a lot...

- Fitness and hormone optimization.- I don't drink, never have, i don't smoke, i don't do drugs.... I am in south florida plenty of sun and vitamin d.... Even were i have gotten chubby, i have always been into fitness, i have never stop lifting consistently without breaks... Only time i stop was a really bad injury for couple of months in the last 30 years.... But fitness is not going to the gym is mastering nutrition.... (eventually i will make my own guide).... After trying every workout program etc... i really recommend kino body for the practical minimalistic workouts AND NUTRITION SUPER EASY that give you seduction body..... Layne Norton for the science inner game of fitness... I also recommend Canadians and people in Europe to supplement with vitamin d in winters due to lack of sun..... Hormones play a CRUSIAL role in your mental well being... Let me give you a story as much as i dislike tate, he had a suicidal student, he told him get a 6 pack and get back to me (depression gone after he got 6 pack).... I will soon make a fitness guide with my transformational pics at almost 50...

- sports and martial arts.- Join some type of sports or even better martial arts group, this will help with masculinity, competition, belonging etc... This indirectly helps with happiness.

- Learn about minimalism.- Money issues can make you unhappy, i have been loaded, i have lost everything and it can fuck with your head... learning to be a minimalist can help tremendously.... (warning it can fuck with your drive to acquire stuff).... But for me, it definitely plays a part of my happiness this is the book i recommend to learn everything you need to know:

- Become a sigma.- Learn and adopt sigma lifestyle and mindsets i really recommend the book the Fountainhead by Ayn Rand



- Read.- Yes read or look for self help sources As a 17 year old i read the book How to stop worrying and start living from Dale Carnagie.... Read it multiple times and this help tremendously, i know Tonny Robbins is not reputable but his book Awaking Gient within was helpful as well...

-join social groups.- For example there are groups the deal with addiction, death, divorces etc.... (this i am kj but seen it work)

- Turn to religion.- (no my thing but i seen it work with guys during depression)

- Give to charity or contribute.- Giving helps, one of the reasons i post and put value is my way of giving, this makes me happy.... Giving contributes to happiness...

If none of these work reach out for medical help...

p.s. If you get to field test what i suggest let me know, would love to know....Or pm directly if you get into one of this issues, if i don't get back right away make sure you don't shoot yourself or anything i don't want to deal with the guilt, so give me a week to get back to you...

Fitness is very underrated for mental health. Getting in shape completely fixed my self esteem issues and I feel like lifting somehow rewired my brain because I felt confident even in 2020-2021 when I was out of shape due to gyms being closed for covid. I have close friends who've been lifting for years who feel the same way so all I can say is that getting in shape is like a hack for great mental health.

I agree with most of the points u made Skills and want to re-emphasize ur point about cutting-off all toxic people from your life, especially toxic romantic partners as they can take a toll on your mental health. I know a lot of people who have never recovered from bad breakups, even like 5+ years after the break up they are still in a spiral state.

And about the materialistic thing I have mixed feelings about that. I know people who genuinely need to have material stuff to feel happy. Although I'm minimalist as well, there are people who feel happy when they have expensive stuff. The bad thing is that its like an addiction because they always need the newest most expensive trendy brand-name clothes, newest iphone, newest everything. I've always been curious as to what is the psychological reasons that people become so materialistic.

The fitness part is super underrated. It's easy to forget how big a part testosterone plays in how you feel. It is literally the winner hormone. It's the risk-taking chemical that makes you feel like "I can do this". Without it you feel like a loser.

It is amazing how night and day you can feel after not lifting for a while vs. doing even just a couple sessions of heavy compound lifts like squats and deadlifts. Seriously night and day difference as you get a massive chemical change.

Also underrated is sleeping good, which can require cutting alcohol and pot. Without sleep you are irritable, annoyed, anxious, etc. Vs. Rested, relaxed, and easy going.

Sounds like minimizing real depression, but body and mind work in tandem.

Cutting white flour and sugar (including heavy fruit eating) also helps stabalize mood.

Simple diet for lazy, cheap, students, etc...

Instant (kettle) plain no sugar oatmeal, optional walnuts and pecans, small amount of frozen berries

Soft boiled eggs

Plain yogurt, tahini, toasted wheat germ

Blue corn chips (whole foods or even tostitos makes them... Old school native corn. Healthy and tastes good, solid carb source, responsible for Oprah getting fat again)

Dark rye bread (hard to find 100% rye. If no euro bakery around, stores often have vacuum sealed dense version usually made in Germany near the deli meant for smoked salmon and appetizers etc)

Tinned sardines (smoked kind taste good)

Chicken thighs

Ground beef/lamb

Carrot juice

Frozen vegetables do not expire fast in fridge (broccoli, peas, cauliflower, spinach, kale, squash, Brussels sprouts, etc.) Aim for three cups a meal, boiled or steamed. Cook and freeze with meat for weeks ahead. Lemon, salt, pepper

Vitamins A, C, D, omega 3, kelp optional (thyroid support rids body of heavy metals), calcium/magnesium/zinc combined.

Edit: forgot almond butter
and sweet potatoes (though everything else is minimal time/cooking for depressed person/student, besides meat)
cook the vegetables for nutrient digestion

Something Skills doesn't mention but that I found instrumental was finding a social circle with at least one or two dudes who aren't afraid to express themselves. Even if there are people in that circle that you don't care much for, as long as you have at least two buddies who you can shoot the shit with, invite to socials and have them invite you to socials, you're solid.

The improvement as of last year when I went back to the gym (rehab chronic back discomfort) has completely transformed my life, and the more I can do the better I feel. I just ordered a jump rope and will start doing that on top of rucking and hitting the gym (mostly weighted calisthenics, but will also start adding more to gym regimen).

Nutrition is crucial, the most important things there IME are avoiding added sugar, getting at least 8 hours proper sleep, and making sure you don't spend more than 30 minutes or so at a time sitting down. That's why I use a sit-stand workstation, so I can alternate and keep moving to avoid muscle degeneration.

I do intend to get back to boxing eventually. Fighting makes you feel as good as fucking IME.

It's about doing 1000s of minor things right.

Being pumped up about life, setting, and achieving BIG GOALS requires highly optimized physiology and psychology.


Something Skills doesn't mention but that I found instrumental was finding a social circle with at least one or two dudes who aren't afraid to express themselves.

This has been the biggest addition to my life last year.

Last year, I found 2 guys willing to challenge social norms, and LOOKING TO WIN in life. Hanging out with them has bolstered my masculine edge in a big way.

As Skills mentioned, cut out people who don't add to your life. At the same time, ADD men who you can look up to in at least ONE area of masculine pursuit.

For God's sake, DON'T HANG OUT with guys who are downers, are negative, or despise masculinity. You wouldn't believe how quickly their vibe creeps into your way of being.

Great post, in addition to all that has been said, the book "power of now" is the best method to deal with intrusive or depressing thoughts, which is the root cause of most mental suffering

The book is a bit on the mystical side but it's great. The tldr is to stop identifying yourself to your thoughts. They are completely random but similar thoughts occur more frequently as you give them attention. When you become more conscious, you decide which thoughts you do and don't give attention, the pain and bad mood gradually recedes. It takes a bit of effort but works very well, and also makes you better at keeping your cool in tense situations

read the book, good point, on living in the present,,, I would be kj if it help me on that or not, cause again i don't get like that down to begin with...

good point when i get really down i do call couple of people usually family and close friends (though my close friends are female)... but yea may edit later, i also have used the forum in this capacity or virtual groups, i drove pure evil and @POB crazy after my 10 year break up.... If you see karea similar we had break up posting diahreeah on the break up, just like tyler rsd.. In my break up post i kind of mention this...

Hey Skills, do you know what optimal free testosterone and total testosterone levels are? I know the internet will have all kinds of information and a doctor once just told me a range like 300-800 for total testosterone or something like that. and even then I don't know if it's like vitamin rda's where it can be just what you need to avoid issues, but the optimal could actually be somewhat higher.

you will feel good 20 plus free t... Optimal is about 30 nmol/L (nanomoles per liter), 20 plus you feel good, under 20 you don't feel as good.... I don't give a shit about total t tbh (i was over 1000 when i went into trt but my free t was shit, due to keto, looking back, i never needed to go into trt it was keto that fucked me up, spiking my shbg killing my free t)..... Anyways optimal is in the 1000 for total.... over 600 ok..... Again i don't give a shit about total, i care about free t.... total is like getting phone numbers, free t is dick in pussy analogy...

ok nice, thanks. analogy makes sense. I will keep these in mind and test after a few months fixing sleep etc.

haha I totally agree... I like to keep pushing to evolve topics. once insights are gained, then take the next path to go deeper. it's like scientific study... we reach conclusion, then build on foundation to evolve the next hypothesis. point taken though - I actually just thought of a solution... I want continuity of thought development. I will start linking new thread in old thread, and starting new thread with link to old thread so the trail can be followed.
