I haven't been able to sleep well in over 2 years, and all that sleep deprivation has taken a toll on my face (I was diagnosed with sleep apnea about a year ago). Everywhere I go I see people get scared of my face. It's not even just girls, it's big guys too. Whenever I look at people's eyes their eyes widen or they look away quickly. I haven't done any approaches cuz as soon as girls look at me they think I'm a psycho. I also have no energy to do anything. I planning on getting surgery to fix this shit but it's not going to be until a couple of months. I'm wondering if it's even worth it to approach girls in the intervening time?

You probably can't approach 9s or 10s but even fat chicks need D too. Lower your standards, date outside your race (white guys are always a big hit with Asian girls, no matter how normal or ugly you are). Travel to other countries, you can clean up.

I'm not saying I'm ugly, I'm just saying my face looks tired (I should've added angry too) and it scares people. I have been told I'm good looking so it's not a case of me being hideous lol. And I'm not white.

Maybe worry more about getting full nites of sleep and less about approaching for now. Seems your lack of sleep is what's holding you back. Take sleep aids like melatonin to help you sleep deeper. You have a roadblock in your way that you need to address first before you can worry about girls. It's hard enough for experts to get girls consistently and we're talking about guys who have all aspects down pat (looks, game, nonverbals, fundamentals, style), you're stepping up to the plate and without taking a swing already got a few strikes against you. Don't worry about the home runs for now bro.

Hey mate if your face is scaring people it's gotta be your facial expression, I believe I saw a post about this some time ago and I reckon you probably received some good advice there about practicing different facial expressions etc. Did you do this? Your "tired face" should not be scary. It should be, well, tired... sleepy and peaceful etc. What's probably happening though, is you're having some mild feelings of paranoia or other unpleasant things, which are leaking through onto your face and communicating themselves to other people. I know I get a little paranoid when I'm tired anyway. Good feelings and mood tends to mask it but the fundamental issue is how you feel about yourself deep down, you can't directly change this because it's unconscious but you can certainly work on it by affirmations, meditations and various other kinds of work.

Now about your sleep apnea, you need to get treatment right away. From my own experience I'm fairly sure I know what's happening here, you haven't fully accepted that you've gotta wear a CPAP every night for the rest of your life, and so you're hoping for a surgical solution, the CPAP is also expensive (I recommend this one which is what I use) and you're thinking you can save money by not buying it if the surgery is successful right? And this situation has gone on for A WHOLE YEAR? Hmm dude every night you sleep without treatment means a day of your life wasted due to tiredness and you'll never get that back! If you insist on a surgical solution then at least rent a CPAP in the meantime. What's the surgery, you're getting your tonsils out or what?

Anyway, I can tell you now that sleep apnea is VERY UNLIKELY to be resolved through surgery. Don't listen to what the doctors or surgeons tell you, they're just in it for the money, and they justify it because they believe that even a small chance of your not having to wear a CPAP for the rest of your life is worth it to you (since you haven't fully accepted your illness). Go research it in forums and talk to people who've had it done, it was useless for me at any rate, but was extremely painful with a long recovery time. You might do better with things like mouth guards that hold your mouth open while you sleep, but the GOLD STANDARD is the CPAP machine, and I believe it is useless to attempt any other device or treatment (including surgery) without having a CPAP machine to compare it to. Seriously, go get one right now, like TODAY.

Also, what is the reason for your sleep apnea? If it is obesity work on getting into shape, lift weights and lose weight, and you won't even need cpap if that's the case (cpap is good option for now)

Make sure you don't look disheveled, depressed and anxious, relax and put a smile on...

Ray_zorse, I tried using cpap for almost 6 months and I was still not sleeping well. I tried using all three types of masks but nothing worked. This lead me to believe that I have something else obstructing my breathing. I'm pretty certain it's a combination of deviated septum and enlarged tonsils (I had them removed when I was younger but there is a small chance they can grow back). Im the kind of person that needs 8hrs of sleep if not, I'm cranky, depressed, and in a fog.
@Drck, im not overweight, my mom has it so it could be genetic.
