So, went out to a bar last night, got a drink, positioned myself against a wall, proceeded to try out the whole sprezzatura/least effort attitude, really getting comfortable, keeping my sight above peoples heads, moving slowly. Notice a cute girl in the corner of my eyes. I look her way, still out of the corner of my eyes, for a sec, and then I look away, still keeping her in my peripheral vision. She proceeds to jump up from her seat, and quickly approach me, asking if I want to join her and her colleagues. I go "Sure" and go join them. The two of us exhange names, and I attempt some deep diving, this is what I remember:
Me: Where do you work?
Her: (firmname) (explains what the company does)
Me: What do you do there?
Her: I'm an assistant, <can't remember>
Me: How you ended up there?
Her: Kinda random, joined throught (some kind of HR company, loud music)
Me: You need some kind of education for your job?
Her: (Can't really hear her)
Me: *nods*
-
Me: If you could do anything you wanted, what would you do?
Her: Get rich, travel the world
Me: Where would you most like to go?
Her: Asia, Australia, (something about a friend living there)
Me: Cool, myself I've always wanted to go to Japan
Her: Me too! (another friend lives there)
Now, an old aquaintance of her shows up, he seats himself next to her, very intimate, but she's clearly uncomfortable, leaning away (She later tells me he was a friend of an ex)
Would this have been a good time to try to move her?
Eventually one of her colleagues, another girl, rescues her by asking if she want to join her to the bathroom.
They, and the annoying guy, leaves.
When she returns, she seats herself straight across from me, very open body language, but I can't seem to find anything to say to her, and just as I got something, she began talking to her colleague, and when another returns, she moves to wards the colleague she was talking to, away from me. From here on I feel she begins to lose attraction. I try talking a little more with her, but it's kinda half-hearted, and eventually she has to leave, she tells me "Nice to meet you, see you around"
So, what do you guys think?
Now, I go back to my "spot", a couple of hotish girls arrive, seats themselves at a table across and somewhat to the left of me. I try a little eye-flirting with one of 'em. Focus my eyes a bit to the left of her face, until she looks at me. I make eye-contact. She smiles. I look away. She talks to her friend, who disappear. I make eye-contact again, she smiles yet again. Then, after a minute or two, friend returns, they leave.
Should have approached, shouldn't I?
