One Approach (are you single?)

Yesterday I accepted songbird fog's seven-day challenge of approaching at least one girl a day. https://boards.girlschase.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=19435 (He actually wanted to do thirty days but I didn't yet feel comfortable to do the whole thing.) I figured this would get me started; now I have to go out and talk to girls.

So, today I reeaally didn't feel like talking to any girls, but, I made a deal, so after three hours of wandering through the streets I approached a girl.

Me: Hello. Do you speak English?

I looked at her before she looked at me, next time I'll only make eye contact after she looks at me.

Girl: Yes
Me: Are you single?
Girl: *laughs softly" No

She started giggling though, and kept looking at me, smiling.
I didn't really know what to do so all I could say was:

Me: No?
Girl: No
Me: Okay! Bye

I was pretty nervous and didn't open in a smooth way, and I'll think about how to continue the conversation next time. But for now, I'm mainly just focused on just actually approaching a girl, and not much at all about what comes after that. Not yet. First need to get a bit used to all this.
