Hello guys,
I've been a faithful reader for the past year and while I'm not a pro like Chase or some other folks around here, I do ok with girls in general.
I met a very interesting girl a couple of days ago (we're on a course and staying at the same place, albeit in different apartments, and I bump into her once or twice a day). To put it simply, I've never met any other girl like that: beautiful, brilliantly intelligent, highly cultured, very sensitive, radiant, and I could go on. Simply amazing.
So we were both in our place's common room one evening and as I was thinking of turning in, for no particular reason I struck up a conversation with her. I wasn't all that interested at first because I had someone else on my mind but the more she talked, the more she drew me in. After something like an hour, she said she has to go to bed because she had to wake up early. But before that she wanted to show me something she posted on her facebook so I looked her up (on my phone), she showed me the thing and I added her as a friend, then we parted. She said she was really glad to have met me.
The day after, we bump into each other and she invites me to eat dinner with her and her friends in their apartment. I have nothing better to do so I say yes. We have a good time, share a bottle of wine, and exchange a few smiles and glances. We have to part soon and I can do absolutely nothing with her alone. As I intend to go to an art gallery two days from there, I tell her about it and ask her if she wants to come along. She says she'd love to, but doesn't know when she can. I tell her I'm going in the afternoon and we agree to decide the next day. Funny thing: she still hasn't confirmed my "friend request" on FB (not that I care but I mean, she was sitting next to me when I added her).
I don't see her at all the next day, but the day after that, which is the day I'm going to the gallery, she comes up to me, and we have a very brief chat at the end of which I tell her I'm going around 4pm. She excitedly says she's never been to that gallery, that she'd like to go there, that it'll be new for her, and asks for my number so we can meet up at the place because she has to go somewhere with her friends before. I give it and get hers. Funny thing #2: she gets my name wrong... At 4pm, no sign from her so I go alone. At 4:15, I send a text asking her if she's coming in the end but get no answer.
Usually I'd call it quits at this point but 1) she is a very special girl (we really had a strong connection) so I'm willing to give it one more chance, and 2) I've never gotten these kinds of signs from a girl before. I'm usually pretty good at sorting out who's interested and who isn't. In this case I got very positive signs just to get negative signs right after them, and I feel it doesn't make sense. Or does it?
