I have had the same hairstyle for a long time, and I want to try something different. I would love to experiment with a little longer hairstyles than what I currently have which is something like this https://www.menshairstylestoday.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Oval-Face-Haircuts-For-Men.jpg

A little about me and my body
- I'm in my start 20s.
- I'm around 185cm
- I haven't hit the gym consistently for a while, so I'm down around 73-75kg.
- I have an oval face shape
- I have blond hair that's pretty dark

I consider something like this https://www.pinterest.dk/pin/698409854712272456/ or after a long time growing it out something like this https://www.dmarge.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/long-hair-men-3.jpg

I'm a rather small guy in size already, and I fear I might get a too feminine look. Thoughts here?

When it comes to going from short to long hair, how would you style it in the transition phrase and should I ask my hairdresser to cut my hair during the transition phrase as well? And is there anything in particular I should keep in mind when growing longer hair as this is something I've never had myself?

the right date makes getting her back home a piece of cake

That's pretty good imo, a bit of a soft vibe so contrasting it with some sot of edge would be a good idea.. That said, I'm not sure you can get that kind of volume with blonde hair which is usually quite thin.

This is called an oxymoron ;) Just messing with ya bro!

I've done it two ways. First one was the go hard or go home barbarian way which was not doing any styling at all until one day I had a badass lion's mane! Would I recommend it? No, unless you want to internalize the attitude of not giving any fucks! I did this during high-school and the amount of shit I got from my mates was... well.. astronomical.

The saner version for me was to let the front and side grow while trimming the back side. The best style, of course, will depend on what you want, your looks and your hair type.

Hi man,

Full disclaimer I’m not even Caucasian but that hair style can look very good with 2 caveats:

1) You have good facial hair / jawline

2) Your vibe is overall masculine

It’s that combination of feminine longer hair but masculine vibe that can be killer but you need that undertone there else it won’t work.

Only you will know if that’s the case. You should ask friends who look good for advice too.

In terms of styling during the interim phase, a friend of mine just slicked the whole thing back with a bit of gell and looked good.

Something like this:

As i see it the feminine vs masculine is not about length. Even if it emphasises you in certain ways different from shorter cuts. Its all about how you style it. The cool thing w longer hair is that you can make many stylings with one cut. And you can change the look a lot w. the right products. All models use it. i was mind blown the first time i used a proper product styled by a cool hairdresser to see how my hair could actually look.

Over corona i went long. Mine right now is along your number two.

if i style it w product and make it more gentle itll look in the direction of the second pic
if i do a hair bun it gives a sharper look and i can get some edge
i can also do more rough looks
asynchronous looks gives edge and clarity that you groom and know your stuff.
and the list continues

for the transition
- hairdressers tend to cut too much so be very specific with them. Choose a look and literally tell them this direction. Rather look rowdy for a period than cut too much off. Ive been surprised how certain lengts look nice when i kept them
- i would go for less cuts - corona made it easy for me.
- I used rubber bands for small pony tail samurai style at various times which have given me massive comments. i can now do a small bun.
- certain products can really make medium length hair fall and look a lot better. like huge difference in the transition as well as when long phase. I use https://www.keshop.com/gb/redken-cerafill-maximize/cerafill-maximize-dense-fx-125-ml.html and then a good quali wax. This product really enhanced my look in the middle phase to a degree that i think was key for me to get through the growth period.
- find ways to style it along the way

If you got muscles or can grow a decent beard go for it.
If you look boyish, you may want to think twice.

A lot of girls don't like long hair, due to feminine, need a lot of products etc (i show to couple of girls your options that is their feedback)... Long hair is for niche... I would not ask dudes but in this case women, the girls i showed some samples that was the response, they like do what works picture sample style, i would also recommend the poverty beard:

Just to add my two cents:

I used to have long hair (down to shoulders and eventually my chest) and also suffered from too much femininity. I didn't know how to balance it then. There's guys that make it work (Jason Momoa).

Girls appreciated the super long hair, yes. It itself looked great. And I could still garner IOIs. But how it looked on me is a different story. Universally, they all generally thought that short hair suited me more. Because it made my facial features look better I suspect. My face is somewhat girlish already.

I have my hair long again (shoulder-length) so I am going to test balancing it out with more masculinity. But something to keep in mind before you grow it out super long.

Note that a bald guy asking a few girls this question will give you a sample size thats useless and answers that are by natured influenced by the questioner. So conclusions from this will be pretty misinformative. even as indicative.

to OP:
I know several top seducers who has what we can label medium long hair and uses it. They score all over the spectrum - especially in the top 8-10s. especially in elite circles. When i say top i mean top.

Heres a famous recording of cajun which was a period his hair was shorter aka maybe a middle way cut type inspiration for you. later he was more like your first example.

i could outline many others - mystery, gambler etc. and todays too beyond me atm.

Great stuff guys!
I can't grow a proper beard which force me to add a dash of masculinity from something else. I'm pretty blessed when it comes to my face shape because I can rock most haircuts, but the code I really need to crack is the perfect ratio between masculine and feminine in my appearance. Muscle wise I have had better days haha but that's something that I'm gonna work on post covid when the gyms are open again.

As you mentioned @Glow, I like how there's so many different ways to style long hair, and in that way change how I want to get perceived. I might even try a leonardio di caprio style

My favorite outfit with jewellery, chelsea boots and a leather jacket might become too much with this haircut. Nevertheless, I'm gonna test it out with longer hair as I can always just cut if off.

Just found a video that actually hits on points made here by members:

Time 10:13 and on goes into long hair. References some study. But basically long hair with a masculine face is good. Long hair with a pretty/feminine face is out of balance. It also covers short hair as well later.
