I've observed that with the new design on the main site the articles are no more dated. It's kinda annoying because I've been always conscious of the dates when reading articles. So I'm asking, Why's that?

Search traffic is a predominant source of new traffic for Girls Chase, and this is unfortunately in response to how Google presents search results. Articles without dates rank higher in Google search, simply because people don't like to click on articles that are 2 or 3 years old.

I don't think anyone would argue the material on this site ages much, but when you're in search and you see an article from 4 years ago, you assume whatever's in it must be obsolete and opt not to click it. Google moves the article ever lower, the site's traffic shrinks, and the website dies a slow death.

Anyway, we'd hoped nixing dates on articles themselves would be enough, but it looks like they're still showing up in Google, probably because the dates show up attached to the articles elsewhere on the site. So we'll likely have to nix dates everywhere. I tried to find a way to keep them, but I can't find a solution that doesn't also mean lower traffic for us, just because of how people and search engines interact.

Alright Chase. Something else happened that got me baffled - when I clicked on the the two latest articles and started reading them, I found out that they were not the full versions. Like, the articles were not complete or something. What's that about?

I know this may sound like a stupid idea, but how about having the date the article was published in as a small image file, perhaps a png with transparent background. I know automating it might be a pain but I'd be surprised if Google would OCR the image and use it for dating it.

Have you reached your article limit for the month?

The way the paywall is designed now is once you've hit 10 articles, the subscription popup loads and the article won't load past the teaser.

It sounds like perhaps you're hitting the paywall and the teaser is loading, but for some reason the screen isn't darkening for you / popup isn't loading.

If this is the case, mind taking a screen shot and sharing what browser / OS you're using? I can have our devs investigate.

Me too. Many times an author contradicts what they said earlier in their more recent articles. It's understandable as someone improves and refines their approach. However, it affects the readership who might be using a strategy that the author has long since abandoned. It drops the usefulness of the archives of the website for your established readership.

Bare minimum, I recommend that the date of the article be visible to logged-in users.

It's the article limit restriction. I now have access to the full versions of the articles now that it's a new month. That's it.
Kaelos, not necessarily. Most of the contradictions you see are stuffs that might have to do with different personalities and their styles or maybe it works differently based on the situation at hand. We have many authors with their different styles that suit their personalities. Also, we have some advice tailored to your level in seduction. The fundamental teachings of seduction still remain the same. I've hardly really seen any contradictions in the articles. You just have to understand what the the author is saying and where they're coming from. And we can always ask questions if we don't understand. Pardon my detailing from the subject matter; we were talking dates on GC articles.

Kaelos-

I do like the "dates on articles for logged in users" idea.

I'll talk to our devs and see if this is something we can whip up.
