Non-Verbal Greeting

Hey I would like to know if there is a way to nonverbally say hello to someone. If someone passes by the street and says "Hi" to me and I have nothing to talk to, to that person how do I say a "Hello" nonverbally? Never been a fan of saying hi after someone does... Seems to me like I'm following someone's lead although not 100% sure. Or if someone knows another way of greeting that makes you look confident and powerful please share. thanks in advance

I don't know if your the cool type or nah but dudes acknowledge each other with a cool swift head movement.

Enthusiastic Hand daps are also what I use but be careful on who to use them on (because someone like yourself whose awkward with greetings will fuck it up, no offense) you can also say "hey my man!" "My dude how you been?" " whats up bruh"

If your talking to older or stiff dudes who aren't hip enough with that. Just say "hello" "good day sir" "lovely weather were having"

I'm not awkward about it but in school it can get pretty annoying saying hi to everyone I thought maybe there was a better way, thanks.
