Not sure how to set up a date that's a week or more than a week away...

Ok so I'm pretty good at setting up dates that are to take place within 1-4 days. However how do you go about setting up a date which is a week or more away? Let's say you're not free to meet up with a girl for another week and a half. Do you set up all the logistiscs/time immediately, or do you initially a week and a half before the date just agree on the day and time, and then text them 1 or 2 days before the date to confirm where you'll be meeting them? Or do you initially just set up the day and vaguely say you'll meet sometime in the evening or something, and then the day before the date agree on a specific time and the venue? I'm wary of setting everything up more than a week before the date because it can make you come across as needy and too tryhard. Really need some advice on this guys! Cheers!
