If anyone has been reading my journal reports lately, you will have noticed that I have a girlfriend now. In the past week my girlfriend has been complaining about fighting with her roommate, an ex, about her spending too much time with me instead of him. A little background, she lives with her ex (a college student), his 11 year old brother and his mom plus dogs. Not really an ideal set-up but its whatever. Apparently she is the person that more or less takes care of everyone else plus the puppies (think 2 or 3 total maybe) and they just take advantage of this. Apparently she is one of her ex's few friends and according to her "them dating doesnt even count", don't really buy that since girls are very particular about paying attention to details like this. Pretty sure it's her trying to make me feel okay about the situation, but I also have a feeling that within a couple of months he will try getting back together with her which I find funny. Thinking about it now, it could just be extra attention and the feeling of being needed that she likes. Either way I'm curious as to the opinions of others. I'm not worried about her cheating and she can't get enough of me and even if she did it would be a simple breakup

the right date makes getting her back home a piece of cake

That takes me back, Whizzy! Astounded to read this... with my very first girl (we're talking 1995 here) it was a similar setup, minus the brother, mom and hangers-on. I actually visited her on occasion at his place. Looking back it does validate the provider/lover distinction somewhat.
