Yes, well it's difficult to know how to handle this sort of thing. I hesitate to recommend the callous, insensitive approach where actual physical trauma is involved and not just mental.

Western gynaecologists are taking a pretty hands off approach, for instance there is a dude who can in some cases restore a functioning clitoris (if part of the shaft is still present but buried, which probably isn't that rare, the perpetrators try to pull out and destroy the whole thing but are not that expert).
