This summer, I've wanted to change my appearance and focus on fundamentals. Besides the fact that I have been working six days a week, and I just got my car back, I've found that I haven't made the change I am looking for. Its tough to start, but I have found that once I start, its easier to do big things. One of the biggest challenges has been simply to get a new haircut. I read here that the best thing to do is to go to a salon and have a gay guy cut your hair. For some reason, I can't imagine myself having the confidence to walk in and do that and not be visibly uncomfortable. I was raised catholic, and there is a lot of homophobia in the catholic church, but I also just would feel embarrassed.
How do you guys get yourself motivated? And how do you mentally prepare for things that you know will be a challenge?
