Persisting and Overcoming Objections Over Text with Low Investment

Hi guys,

So, I frequently run into an issue where, a girl will try to renegotiate dating terms over text in a way which logically seems to make sense. Or is in the very least harmless. But, its still pretty bad from a seduction standpoint. It naturally puts her in the leadership position (unattractive) and it could mess with logistics or other stuff.

GC has addressed how to deal with stuff like this in person. But what if she's still very uninvested in me and its over text? Is there any way to turn things around?

Ex.
Guy: Meet me at xxx place.

Girl: Do you work?

Guy: No

Girl: Hmm, well I have work that day, it'd be a lot easier if we met at yyy place. :)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is probably a bad example because the guy could have handled the "do you work?" question in a way which avoids the problem altogether. But it still conveys the point. She has a logical reason for why its a good idea to meet at a different location. And since its text, its very difficult to convey the same vibe/emotions when addressing her objections in person. Additionally, because its over text and in my case, I usually haven't gone out on a first date with her yet, she's still very uninvested in me. So insisting that we do things my way probably won't work.

On a similar note, there are a lot of articles on GC which deal with handling objections/ on persisting. I'm not sure if I've found all of them. If anyone knows where they are, can you link them for me?

Hey Bboy,

I take it you're talking about meeting chicks from online? Whenever a chick from online doesn't want to make a trip out to my neighborhood, I try to meet at a middle ground between our locations that is still convenient for me to pull. I also talk to her on the phone, so she's more comfortable and more invested. If it's convenient for me I offer to pick her up in my car. If she still insists on making it inconvenient for me, I drop her like a hot potato. There's way too many hot chicks that will jump at the chance to meet up at a location of my choosing, so I don't waste time on ones with low investment.

When you pitch the meet up over the phone instead of text, girls are A LOT more likely to agree to it.

I like this idea because it adds versatility. But can't this make pulling more difficult? Since she would (usually) be coming from the opposite direction. So inviting her to yours would mean she would have to go all the way to your place and then back to hers (a rather difficult objection to overcome)? Also, in your experience, what's the max distance you could be from your house where a pull is managable? Because so far, I've really been meeting girls only five mins away. Or I've otherwise been trying to do public escalations.

I'm very inexperienced with phone calls. I've tried it a few times to get girls who aren't replying to my texts back. But never as a way of actually setting up a date. What do you do? Do you literally just call them and talk logistics? Or do you have some sort of phone conversation which builds up to that?

I used to be real nervous about calling girls. I remember in high school looking up a girl's number in the phonebook... but never calling it... or 10yrs back I grabbed a social circle girl's number after a promising talk at a wedding, wrote it on my whiteboard in my office and looked at it for like THREE MONTHS thinking hey I really have to call this girl soon... (she's now married to my brother with 2 kids, haha)... the big "aha" moment for me was realizing, if you can date her, you can call her... it's exactly the same thing. So whatever you would do on the date, do it on the phone... banter, ask her about herself, chat, deep dive etc... at a high point, ask her out.

In the past, I always had girls meet about 5 minutes away from my place. We'd get coffee or frozen yogurt, walk around a bit, then I'd pull them home for dinner and movie. This worked great for some girls, but for others it was just too fast, so I decided to switch some things up.

The last 3 girls I met up with from online I met about 15 minutes from my place. We met at a big mall, where I took them grocery shopping, then we took transit back to make place, where I made dinner and we watched a movie. I closed all 3 with very little resistance. Since we are traveling and visiting different locations, and doing different things, it feels date compression. By the time they're back at my place they are very comfortable and ready for sex.

Ok, when I get a phone number from Tinder, first send them an ice-breaker, "Hey Kayla, this is PS from Tinder. Save my number :)"

They usually say something like, "lol ok got it"

I then text them immediately, "Hey, I'm gonna call you in 9 minutes"

I call and we have a little chat about work, school, movies, or whatever you talked about on Tinder. Just make sure you sound warm and friendly. I ask whether she drives or takes transit so I can plan logistics accordingly. I then ask her what time she is finished work/school tomorrow or the next day, then just pitch the meet up, and sort out logistics.

Thanks guys! Just tried this yesterday. This worked great. :)

This sounds cool. Do you tell her beforehand that you'll be shopping for food then going back at yours? Or do you originally just ask her to hang out at the mall, then suggest going to the grocery store than yours?

Yeah, I wish I would've known about the importance of a good phone call sooner. Sure texting works, but for my money, pitching the meet while talking on the phone has the best odds of success. This is true for daygame numbers and very, VERY, true for online numbers.

Hahaha DO NOT tell her you're going back to your place beforehand. Tell her to meet you at the mall. If she asks why, tell her you need to pick up a few things from whatever store. If she really has her heart set on getting coffee or frozen yogurt, take it to go while you shop for groceries. Tell her that you're hungry and that you'll make food at home. The key is to make everything seem spontaneous.
