First of all. Definition:
Second, the reason it works:
In my mind, pre-opening is just what the definition states. That's it. For me, the reason why it works is only because it will get girls to notice you before you say your opener.
I agree that a girl looking at you first sets the dynamic of a chase. When I play with my peripherals and notice a girl I want to talk to that is trying to catch my attention I can slowly try to make eye contact until she doesn't move them. This is a real moment when she wanted me to see her looking at me first. Perfect.
I understand the idea that, in a subconscious level, if I let her look at me first after pre-opening I set the same dynamic, but I have to disagree.
First, just the act of going up to her to open her indicates that I've looked at her and I like her. I'm the chaser from the start. Which, I have to say, it's not bad. This dynamic is happening all the time in daygame because you don't have time to wait and see if she looks at your eyes first (you would miss so many opportunities). You just have to know how to navigate the interaction. I don't think doing the you-look-at-me-first-after-I-pre-open will subconsciously set a chase dynamic from her part.
Second, I think it's very weird. Imagine this scenario:
You pre-open a girl and you are now using your peripherals to know when she starts looking at your eyes.
She turns around. She looks at your eyes and immediately you look at her.
It looks weird. If I'm the girl and I turn around and he is not looking at me is strange. You want to make a conversation with her and you are not looking at her. What are you looking at? Why would you be looking elsewhere when you are interested on talking to her? Just imagine you pre-open a girl and before locking eyes with her you take 5 seconds. Really weird, isn't it? I think, even with the small time it actually takes to lock eyes with hers there will be some weirdness in there and, to me, a kind of unnatural thing to it.
Any thoughts?
Cheers!
PS: I only pre-open girls that haven't noticed me approaching so they are ready for my opener.
Pre-opening by definition is an action that you take with a woman prior to verbally engaging her.
Second, the reason it works:
You typically want a woman to be looking at you first. This is the first step in setting up the chase dynamic that you want –you want those subconscious signals firing in a girl’s mind that she noticed you first, that she was interested in you first, that she is chasing you and pursuing you.
