Hi fellows,

How do you react when girls say negative things about them or their life? Do you try to connect, cold read, ignore, disqualify, tease, joke around?

I guess it depends, right? But here are some examples to make it more concrete. They all happened to me in the last few months, and everytime it seemed like I chose the wrong option. I tried to connect when I should have teased, to ignore when I should have connected, etc

Girl: "I haven't had time to do any physical activity this week, I've been so busy with work!"

Girl: "I didn't manage to integrate well with people during that trip, I didn't get the vibe of people there."

Girl: "I haven't slept well at all this week, I'm exhausted."

Girl: "I'm having trouble writing my PhD manuscript, it's going too slow and I don't feel motivated."

Girl: "I came to this town to move closer to a past boyfriend I had. After I moved in, he dumped me."

Girl: "It's not working well anymore with my house mate. I'm getting into some friction with her."

Girl: "I'm currently enjoying living as a writer, but it's hard, it's not enough to have a life. It feels like a good hobbie at most."

Based on girlschase articles, what I try to do is make a tease out of what she's saying, to make light of the situation, or turn her negative remark into something positive,

If you can't make a tease, I would just say something along the lines of, "and look at you, you're still doing great"
