She makes a question, you give a non-answer or politician answer:

Girl: Do you like X?
You: Wait, so this means Y?
Girl: I asked whether you like X.

I think this is one the one the most common confrontation guys (people, really) run in their lives because it's so easy to insist again. And I have nothing "ready" to deal with it. I try not to reply still but I feel I always say something stupid.

Does someone have a way of dealing with this?

Just use another politician answer. Then press her again yourself:

Her: Do you like Rocky Road ice cream?
You: Wait, so this means you're a Dreyer's ice cream fan?
Her: I asked whether you like Rocky Road.
You: Yeah, I guess, maybe, it's okay, I don't know. Why, what's up?

Or if you think she was trying to trick you and is hoping for a 'no' response:

Her: Do you like Rocky Road ice cream?
You: Wait, so this means you're a Dreyer's ice cream fan?
Her: I asked whether you like Rocky Road.
You: I mean, I'm not really much of an ice cream guy. What's this about, are you buying ice cream? Can we get froyo instead, that's really more my thing.

Confrontation scenarios:

A) She's being very serious
B) She's being logical
C) She's asking dumb stuff

For A: use Chase's advice.

For B and C: do an eye roll, flash her a bored look, and/or act a little aloof - this shows her that it was uncalibrated of her to engage in this behaviour. She won't do it again.
