Recovering lost 'classic' dating advice: flowers

I want to dredge up a classic tip: getting a girl (usually one you've seen for a bit) some flowers. You can get a super cheap bouquet for around $5 -- that's perfect. The fact that you thought to is what matters.

I like this move because it establishes yourself as a 'classic', 'romantic', and 'gallant' man -- Chase alluded to such a person in one of his articles. It has an old-fashioned charm. A lot of guys don't do this anymore. Which is a shame -- because girls LOVE it.

A few technical opinions:
1) This is best done once you've already slept together (or at least, once she's made it VERY clear that she likes you, to the point where you probably should have already slept with her...). This is because of lover vs provider, etc etc.
2) It's more fun if you give them to her on a random occasion -- as in, a total surprise.
3) The best frame to give them from is: you draw happiness from her happiness. It's just a nice thing to do for your girl. This likely generalizes across all gift-giving.

What are some other classic dating tips, seemingly lost in the 21st century, that you think are still great?

I'm not against this but SHE should be the one thinking of ways, and actively doing things to keep you around.

There are times where you have to show investment, thought, etc. The rest of the time she should be thinking of ways to make your life easier, buying or crafting/making things for you


Getting her to invest and do things for you is the best way to maintain attraction. I will bring things for girls I'm seeing to do for me. I've found it's very effective in maintaining a relationship in the times where women have so many options and unprecedented freedom to explore those options.

You can do simple things like bring one of your tangled necklaces and have her spend the 10 minutes getting the knot out. All the way up to having her fuck a random old man in the bathroom stall of a dirty dive bar to prove she actually loves you and it isnt just a chemical dependency from the sex. (Shout out to gunwitch)

Or you can just stick to doing things for her to continue to try and make the queen happy.

I don't understand, because I took advice from hector Castillo on the GC YouTube. Hector says he is possessive over his girlfriends, I thought that was the way to go, because you want to establish the rule that she cant go fucking other men, or put herself in situations where she can sleep with other men. I find it hard to comprehend why you would have your girlfriend fuck another man. Could you please share more on that tidbit of info?
