Rejected annoying girl but she still aggressively persists, what to do?

Now I am not attracted to this girl by any means, she is overweight and not my type. Unfortunately this girl just doesn't get the message.

It started about a few weeks ago, this girl was at the gym and needed help getting something down from a shelf so she asked me for help. I got it down for her and handed it to her. She sees me again and starts to start conversations with me, I try not to be rude but just give short answers and tell her I am busy I have to go for a workout. From there it gets somewhat worse as she starts getting touchy with me, I tell her not to touch me. The girl walks away angrily and says something like "fine then be a bitch". I am a bit lost but I try to ignore her.

Well then it gets even worse, she sees me walk into a gym and says things like "thats my future boyfriend right there yall" or something like that in front of everyone as people around her laugh. I shake my head and walk away trying to ignore her. As I am working out this girl stands next to me and starts trying to talk to me, I ignore her and keep on working out. This girl does not let up, she keeps following me around and trying to talk to me.

Then today was the final draw, there is a girl I am interested in who happens to be my type. I was talking to her outside of the gym, got her number a week ago, and out of nowhere comes this girl who has been bothering me. She sees me talking to the girl I am interested in and starts trying to pick a fight with the girl I am interested in, calls her a few names, and then the girl I am interested in walks away.

I look at the girl and say:

"look I am not interested in you, please leave me alone, I want nothing to do with you, can you get lost!?"

So the girl looks at me and smiles saying:

"oh I know you want some of this don't you lie"

This is getting way out of control and I have no idea how to handle it. I would love some advice from experts on this because this situation is just irritating.

Throw her under the bus. I can't think of any way to send the message any clearer, if she still persists then freeze her out entirely. You've already told her that you want nothing to do with her so if she can not respect your choices literally ignore her presence whenever she is around.

lol OP you give me the impression that the girl who is after you is likely from some poor urban neighborhood and desperate for attention, in which case I say pick a better location for going to the gym. right now your best weapon is just avoiding her at all costs, in my experience, outsiders will intervene and stop her from doing what she does.
