So yeah, I guess the title pretty much announces my little blunder.

Any case, met this chick where she works, had to go there 3 times for appointments. We got along well etc. So I ended up suggesting we go get coffee some time at a cafe, she readily agreed. We sorted out a date and time, I repeated it, then said bye and left.

Took me a bit too realise I didn't grab her number. How big of a blunder do you guys think this was?

How did you leave it?
"see you at Ajax Cafe Friday at 5?"
"I'll pick you up here at 5?"

If so don't sweat it.

If not, stop by again and say " I forgot to get your number. Pick you up at 5?"

Yeah similar I guess, pretty much just said - Right, will meet you at 13:00 next Friday at so and so cafe.

Other thing is that with our schedules the date's only in a week's time. Not sure if that's gonna be a problem.

I'd say its pretty essential to get the number to ensure she doesn't flake. I mean, even if everything goes right there is still maybe a 50% chance she flakes, and now she has no way to contact you and you and you have no way to reassure her that you are still on.

Think about whatever nerves / discomfort you are feeling about the scenario and multiply that by four for her. I mean, if you actually know her address and are picking it up like FT said its less of a deal, but thats not the impression I get from reading your story.

If there is a socially saavy way you could see her again without it being obvious that you are there only to see her I'd recommend that. Otherwise best game plan is probably to follow through with the date and be prepared for the chance she doesn't show. You can get her number at that point.

Advanced tip: If she does no-show you and you see her again you can apologize profusely for not showing up and pretend like you were the one who flaked

Yeah thanks for the advice guys, it was pretty stupid of me. Showing up where she works has a pretty big chance of backfiring though, too many people around most of the time.

Think I'm just gonna follow through with it like you said Lost, see what happens.

Right, just an additional question here. So I get the increased anxiety and the chance of flaking going up. Now what effect, if any do you guys think this will have on attraction?
