I meet this girl at work who at first I thought she was ugly, but then we started talking and I really liked her company, we have so much fun together and I feel we understand each other very well. I asked her for coffee once and she accepted, at the third date (1 month later approximately) we kissed outside of her house, nothing sexual, nothing hardcore just some good old kisses. The next time we went out she was acting weird, not being as open and loving as the past dates, so I asked her what's happening. She responded that we were going too fast, and that she's not an easy girl and started talking about how when she's dating a boy it takes her a long time to become his boyfriend and how in her opinion what easy comes, easy goes. We moved on with the conversation and manage to hold hands till the end of the night. We still text, all though not as often as we used to, and she responds mostly positive, and sometimes neutrally and a couple times negatively to my texts. But I've noticed lately she doesn't have as much initiative to talking to me as she used to before she said that to me, and that bugs me a lot.
In this type of context, what does the "going too fast" mean? What is going through her mind? They've never said that to me before, usually in my experience kissing after 3 dates is not fast at all, it's actual really slow.
I really like this girl and I'm not trying to fuck her and leave her, I would like a relationship with her, but I must know If I should just move on or play along and be persistent.
Thanks guys!
