I work at the univercity as an assistant, I do nothing all day, sit behind a computer and sometimes move chairs or copy pdf into excel file.

I dress in jeans and dark pullover (hoody with no hood thingy) and I am comfortable.

should I wear shirts and shined shoes, just because I have them?
It looks better, but I do not want girls to confuse me with teachers.

I work in the office, sitting in front of the computer the whole day, dressing in a corporate suit.

Just test it out, preferably at another university.

Outside of work, I transform.
Sometimes a student.
Sometimes a rock star.
Sometimes a businessman.
Sometimes a sport player.
Sometimes a bartender.
I don’t know what girls want...

I've always tended to dress better than my colleagues at work. Button down collar shirts, belt, kind of business casual. When peoples come in, they look around and think I'm the Boss. Well most of the time I am, unless our president shows up. When I have a new shirt or sportcoat I always feel more powerful and women notice. Nicer clothes tend to show off your physique better as well.

FT said basically the same I was going to.

You have an opportunity to look better than average college students if you're rocking a desk job. It also may look good for your employers to show that you dress professionally and take the job seriously. I wouldn't worry too much about college girls confusing you as a teacher, since when you start talking to them you can quickly tell them you simply work for the university as an assistant.

It's good to stand out, so long as you're not peacocking. I wouldn't lower your attire to "blend in" with college students, just don't put too much effort into looking amazing - that can be intimidating to some.

For you case, I would ditch the hoody and jeans look (if it were me), and rock a solid button down & khakis that shows off some of your better features. Or go for an attractive business casual - there's plenty online to see what that looks like. Really well done business casuals can be amazing since they draw in but don't make it look like you're stuntin'
