For about two months I am working in my spare time writing in C# a news agregator (idea that I took from Google-ing "programming project ideas").
Recently, I thought that it's a bad idea that, after the program is finished, to let it rot in Github, so I thought of creating an account on sites like Patreon. Here, who is interested can pledge a small amount (1$ or so) and, instead, they get updates, bug fixes, other functionalities (or customized version of this program), etc.
I imagine that I won't buy a Lamborghini from the get-go and I don't care about the money as much as I care about improving in this area and seeing how exactly I can answer others' demands. I work as a University lecturer, teaching computer programming, but the level required for the Uni projects outside classes is very low. This thing makes me very sure that I shall waste my talent if I don't do something about it.
What are your thoughts?
