Drexel, I have always found great value in your pickup advice. I am glad to see you back and that you are achieving financial independence.
I completely agree with your 1st point, I am coming to the same realization more and more recently.
You think that buying a new TV will make you happy, then you buy it and after a couple of days you regress to your default happiness state again.
You think that sleeping with a smoking hot, young girl will change your life for the better and after you do that you think "OK that was cool, but what's next?"
Other people talk about how you have to accept yourself as awesome right now and not base your self worth in some future accomplishment.
For me removing stress as much as possible for my life has been the first step towards an improved default state of happiness and contentment. I will follow up with exploring how to switch off all the little bullshit thoughts in my head as often as possible using meditation.
