I just read "The Game" which apparently isn't as great as I thought it might have been, although it was definitely entertaining especially the first half of it.

Anyway, I was wondering if there are any "required" books that you guys would suggest? I need to get Chase's book (guilty as charged...sorry). But apart from that?

Thanks,
Jeet

If you like simple, there was a book I read when I first discovered pickup called The System: How to Get Laid Today! by a guy named Roy Valentine. It's essentially just pinging for eye contact and leading strongly, but it was a much better introduction for me in 2005 than most of the complicated routines and all that were being taught back then. Simple, straightforward, and influenced a lot of my thinking going forward.

Plus, the sketches of sexy women were really cool, too.

I loved Sleazy Stories was one of my most enjoyable books. Don't waste your time with minimal game, it's a bore.

Chase anything else like this? I've read a bit of Casanova which was entertaining.

Casanova was good. You won't get much technique from it, and there's even some pretty atrocious technique - e.g., Casanova showering girls with jewelry, etc. But from a philosophical and lifestyle perspective, it's pretty enlightening, and definitely a refreshing read when you get too used to only being able to picture the kind of mainstream life path TV, books, and movies all toss at you ceaselessly.

Hey Jeet,

I recommend Malcom Gladwell's Tipping Point and Blink. These are two very profound books about opportunity and how snap decisions effect people's lives.

Thanks for everyone's input. I will definitely be looking into some of them. I just bought your book Chase, so I am reading that for now. So far so good I must say!

Also, I tried looking for "The system: how to get laid today!" and apparently they don't sell it new anymore, at least not on Amazon. They do have it for the Kindle though. I think.

Just_dave: your suggestions are basically on a more general basis then? How to take advantage of opportunities and the like?

Thanks!

Hey Jeet,

To answer your question more directly yes because if you can learn take advantage of any opportunity, woman find that highly attractive. Your building up your edge, sexiness, and ambition all at once. On top of that, you're learning about what really attracts people to certain situations and why we avoid others. I hope this clarify things a bit more.

Definitely. I really enjoy self-improvement/motivational books. We need to focus on becoming better as a whole, not only in one specific region of our lives. Of course, some areas do need more work than others. But yeah.

In that note, I actually suggest "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People". Very good book.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Much appreciated, I've seen that book in my home in Cleveland growing up.
