Guys, another interesting question.. This is has been in my mind for years and I still can't figure out the proper answer.
What do you think about talking about past relationships or relationships in general on the first date? For me on one side it's a good way to pull the conversation into a more serious, romantic and intimate route. On the other side, I don't know if it's a good idea, since we are meeting each other and the past doesn't matter, it's better to build something new there, rater then talk about past relationships. Plus she can realize she still has feelings for some guy and it could ruin the date's outcome. And don't u think that that kind of talk makes you sort of a friend? Kinda friendly shoulder to tell her past frustrations to. Many guys advice to cut off that type of conversation straight away and move to another topic, but damn.. relationships is a good topic to get closer! The question is, does it get you closer in the right direction? Doesn't it also put you in the "possible boyfriend, so lets take thing easy" category? What kind of things you would share about you past relationships if you share any? Any bullshit stories that you would tell to make her fell more comfortable? At the same time if you don't talk about past relationships and just try to bring out some general points, eventually the conversation will flow into examples probably you will end sharing the past with her and/or she with you.
Opinions please!
