Ok, so I've noticed this interesting trend as I've dated more girls of various ages. I'm still 21 so sometimes, I'll go out with 18 or 19 year olds. When I try to bust on them (a playful, sarcastic remark at their expense), they usually crack up, their attraction spikes, and they seem to generally enjoy the comment. Conversely, when I'm out with a relatively older girl (20+), they'll often look at me like I'm retarded when I make a ball-busting comment (i.e. the bored/skeptical look for those who know it). Or they'll just answer me in a very matter-of-factly tone.
Anyways, usually I won't yield to the social pressure. I don't pussy out and say "sorry" or "I was just kidding" or anything like that (unless they seem genuinely offended or hurt). But as the night progresses, their attraction for me usually seems to wane as opposed to spike when I make more comments like those. One thing to note is that I do have a very dry sense of humor and sometimes people REALLY don't get that I'm kidding. But I feel like if that was the issue, the younger ones (if anyone) would be giving me matter-of-factly answers. Not the more experienced, socially in tune older girls. Thoughts?
