It's been quite awhile since I've been on this site, but I'm back because I'm on a really bad cold streak. I'm almost a year removed from my last hookup, and that was with an ex. The last time I was really running game efficiently I had three girls i couldve easily hooked up with, but i decided to go for a relationship with a girl that I thought was absolutely amazing. She burned me badly in return. I havent had any good game since then.
I dated the same girl almost all throughout highschool, and this site helped a ton after we broke up and I was left with no idea how to hook up or even meet new women. After i got burned by that girl I mostly stopped actively pursuing new women, and for the past 6 months or so, I've had a really really tough time getting anywhere with anyone. Not even a peck since my last hookup.
Part of my problem recently is that I just havent had enough flirty interactions. I'm a graduate student, but I'm young for a graduate student (just turned 21) and look a couple years younger than my age which adds insult to injury. Most women i meet at school, events, or bars are in their late twenties, and it's hard to have a flirty interaction with that big of an age gap (plus a baby face).
I can get pretty good signs and conversation with girls in the 18-22 range, but I also get alot of autorejection when they find out I'm a PhD student and they just graduated highschool. Girls in their mid-late twenties see me as a kid while girls 18-22 seem to get overwhelmed by my current position or accomplishments (I think, at least). I also have little to no opportunity to me girls in the 18-22 range. My institution is exclusively for graduate training.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I know clubs can have a younger crowd, but I just dont fit the scene. I've tried learning how to dance, but I have no natural rhythm. I do my best work as a conversationalist, and all of my previous lovers have told me that they find my intelligence to be my most attractive feature. Not sure how to capatilize on that either without being a condescending asshole.
