Texting back a few days later? how to respond?

Just wondering how would you guys respond to a girl who you might have texted to set up a date or something and she responded like a few days later.

E.g. I texted this girl last Thursday.. Hey XYZ, what's going on?

Today is Tuesday and she just responded

Her: Hey Sorry i've been soo busy
Her: And I responded super late

I was thinking of texting something like "okay, i've been busy as well" ???

Just wondering what yours guys thoughts are on something like this. Wondering if I should keep it warm or not??

I would definitely wait at least 4-6 hours before you respond, but if you do, you want to be cool about it. With girls like this, you sometimes just want to skip rapport building and jump right into setting up a date since they take forever to respond if you try to chit-chat them because they aren't interested in that. So something like the following would suffice:

You: No prob, Katie. Been quite busy myself . How about we grab a drink together this week? What's your schedule like?

Generally when a girl takes days to respond (if she respond at all), it's not usually a good sign. If she was really into you, she probably would have responded sooner. That being said, the fact that she texted you means she might still be willing to give you a shot, which is why you don't want to diddle daddle with rapport building and try to get her out in person where you can work the real magic.

I ended up waiting about 5 hours to text her back I texted her back something similar to what you mentioned above but it was kind of broken up into a few texts. Anyways, after asking her "what her schedule is like" she mentioned she was free for the rest of the week. She then agreed to meet up with me (after I asked) but hasn't given me a day. I threw a couple days out that I was free for a meet up but she has yet to respond. She might be flaking now... oh well if she does.. on to the next
