The sun is almost coming up, but there's still music from the club down the road.
There's just one girl aged around 18-20 at the bar and about 10 people in total dancing. I position myself two steps away from her and order my drink.
I slow-open:
Me: "... and you? [putting my head on my hand indicating her being tired]"
She: smiles/laughs (don't remember)
I turn to the other side for some two seconds, looking towards the waitress preparing my drink.
Me: "Are you waiting for your friends?"
She: "Yes, they're in the bathroom"
I tell her why I am here and do some small talk. She's kind but uninterested. At some point she goes outside.
After a minute I go out too. I see her sitting at the couch, bored. I re-open, but she only responds to my questions. The only moment she talks a *little* more is when I ask her about her friends. I tell her a dramatic business anecdote, that I had just experienced before going out. Though most people would find it very interesting, she doesn't hook at all. The only moment she asks me a question is after exchanging names. She wants to know where I am from. The rest of the time she's just passive.
A nice song comes up, so I invite her to dance. I go "come ooon!" as she declines and I'm very surprised she immediately gets up and joins me. Once inside though, she keeps her distance. I say something like "if you're going to wait for your friends, let's at least enjoy the time".
With her wallet in one hand and the drink in the other I don't feel like touching any of the two. As she returns her glass, I do touch her hand slightly. Shortly after, she excuses herself and goes outside again.
She just sits there, doing nothing.
I leave - surprised the girl prefers to be bored instead of dancing or at least talking to somebody.
* I wonder if and how I should adapt my topics or game in order to attract that type of young girl.
* I recently got a haircut like Brad Pitt in "Fury". Too tough? ... for that type of girl?
* I remember that when I started to do pick up, girls would rather hook or open up a little bit at least with some persistence. Is it really just the age difference?
