I'll be starting this to chronicle my pickup adventures. My background is over 30, short, and I don't have a great build, but I'm not overweight.

The focus of this will be on cold approaches, because needless to say I'm considered below avg in looks, so my results are not impressive. I've used apps a little in other countries successfully, but the amount of effort just to get a semi decent girl talking to me is tremendous vs in person approach.

My experience with cold approach is 1.5 years on/off inconsistent. I like that I can post here along many other hunters and enjoy reading your conquests.

Why The Cipher Vault? Because I am chasing what is hidden, encrypted - and I'm here to decipher it.

Signed up for bumble two weeks ago. I never met any girl from an app in my country, but I figured why not do this for some lead generation and see if I can get it to work? Previously, I would sign up for a week, get frustrated then uninstall because too many gorgoroths and unwanteds are matching me. Oh what I would give to be back in South America.

I've accumulated some very good photos the last year of myself in exotic places at almost single digit body fat. I'm not sure that I can do any better than that. I set my height slightly higher for filtering, but I'm not certain if its helping much. I'm giving off provider single traveler vibes based on how I setup my profile and going for that stereotype, too difficult to go for the bad boy stereotype or different one. One thing I wish I did is set my age 4 years younger, because I know the early to mid 20s are probably not seeing me for the age filter or maybe they are? Any over 30+ matching with 20-26 year olds? I don't have too high hopes for this.

I got 5 girls numbers, maybe ~15-20 matches, none except one I matched that I may have actually approached in person. I know a lot of you guys out there are destroying the birds on these apps. I have thought about paying for this and giving it a try for a month or two, still feel uncertain about supporting these hookup apps.

I was about to meet up with one until we facetimed.. so glad that she cancelled and the following day and I didn't have anything unexpected come up.

I have 2 leads from there, but these leads will probably fizzle out because I am going on a trip. Expect next update in about 2 weeks or so. Not using any apps on the trip, what as waste of time!
