The opener where you twirl and dance with the girl

Well, unless you know for sure that you can pull it off.

I just got back from spending the Labor Day weekend in Vegas, and I saw WAY TOO many guys doing this to open girls. It got very old, even for me, and nearly all of them were done in a VERY awkward way. I mean, if I saw that shit over and over again, then how many times do you think the girl experienced that approach?

I'm not trying to talk shit about the guys who do this or the opener itself. After all, some of you may have been using this. Also, Vegas is a great place to practice and improve your skills, and many of these guys were obviously starting out. I would never make fun of guys who are starting out because it can be extremely tough, especially if you come from an introverted and socially-isolated type of backgrounds.

Look, if you're going to do this type of opener, AT LEAST look playful when you do it. Most of those guys either had a very serious look on their faces, or they had this childish/immature smirk on their face that read "OMG HAHA I can't believe I'm doing this to this beautiful girl!". There were a few with an overly-confident smile that read "I'm such a master seducer", but the approach was still awkward.

This is what most of these guys did:
1. Stand on the sides of the casino walkway or the sidewalk on the street (some were walking)
2. Wait for the next prey to pass by
3. Walk directly in front of them without saying a word
4. Reach and grab the girl's hand/wrist
5. Twirl them or do a little dance
6. Verbal open
The girls' initial facial expressions were mostly negative. A lot of the girls simply walked away after that, some stayed for a little longer after the introduction, and I saw two sets that enjoyed it from the start. One of the two sets that enjoyed it eventually left, while I left the scene early for the other set, so I don't know what happened.

I'm not exactly a master of seduction, but if I were instructed to open girls using that opener, this is what I'd do:
1. Already be having a great time (or at least pretend like I am)
2. Be jolly with an attitude that says YOLO, IDGAF, I'm happy as shit for some reason, everyone is my friend, etc.
3. Have a full-on smile with teeth showing and everything...or have a big, happy closed-lips smile. The latter may make it easier/smoother to transition into a sexual frame
4. Already be dancing on my own, but nothing crazy. Something simple like stepping while snapping fingers
5. Draw eye contact via dancing
6. Match eye contact, hold it, then do a dance move for her...like spin myself around or something while maintaining eye contact
7. Walk towards her while asking "Hey girl hey, what's your name?"
8. Hold out my hand as I introduce myself, shake her hand, then twirl her

I agree! I see the twirl opener a lot on the simple pickup videos, but I don't get it. You grab a girl, twirl her close to you, then let go - leaving a distance gap between you two. The main point that gets me is that the "twirler dude" leads the girl, but lets her go at the end. What was the point of the interaction if she's standing in the same place? Especially during the dance floor on nightgame, when the windows are so short.

I've taken a girl's hand after direct opening to bring her closer for grinding or lead to another area on the dance floor.

Wow, yeah, that's a TERRIBLE way to use this one as an opener.

The only time to use the twirl as an opener if you ask me is when you catch some girl standing around looking bored or morose. However, you do NOT just take her hands and twirl her. Instead, you hold your hands out to her, look at her expectantly, and wait for her to put her hands there. If she resists, you just move your hands a little bit even more expectantly and smile at her while looking at her with a clear "Come on!" look. That way, when she complies, it's a good deal of investment on her part, rather than her being twirl-raped by a stranger.

That said, if there's anything else you can use instead of this, do it. Even back in 2006 and 2007, using this'd get you looks from women that said, "Okay, that's fun, but I've already seen this before a few times." I started doing a two-handed twirl just because you can twirl them faster this way and they usually won't have experienced that before, since most guys do a (clumsy) one-handed twirl.

I wasn't aware of the Simple Pickup videos, but if there are popular videos telling guys to do this randomly to women they meet on the street, and guys are going out and doing that, this is probably one to stay as far away from as you do fuzzy hats, scrolling chest signs, and opinion openers.
