Hi guys,
So recently, I was setting up a meeting at my place via Tinder, she had pretty much said yes to meeting me, then at the last minute we had this little conversation:
Me: Anyways, meet up at my place: [Address]. Then we can drive from there.
Her: Idk what my plan is for sure <---- [she had previously said that she didn't know on what day she was going to come to my town or some shit like that. Basically, this is a BS excuse]
Me: Ok, np. So would today not be a good day? Or are you just not sure?
Her: I'm just not sure lol you have instagram?<---- [ This is the real reason she's having second thoughts...Obviously, she doesn't feel comfortable enough meeting me. She wants to see more pics of me.]
Me: Na, I just have FB. :/ You can add me if you want to see more pics of me.
Her: [She adds me but doesn't send any more messages]
1.5 hours later:
Me: Well, if there's anything else we can do to make you feel more comfortable meeting me, let me know. otherwise, hmu when you figure out your plans.
Her: [No reply]
In hindsight, my FB photos are pretty bad. With the exception of a few. And generally speaking, my FB profile isn't too flattering. So giving her access to that was probably a mistake.
So my question is: what would you guys do if a girl is clearly not comfortable enough to meet you in person, is asking to see you via some form of social media, but you'd prefer not to give her that info? Cause I feel like if I had said no, I would seem either a. Weird/creepy (what 21 yr old guy doesn't have ANY social media). B. Dodgy (if she assumes I'm lying). In any case, saying no would make her feel even less comfortable meeting up with me. On the other hand, complying will probably often bring me this result. And in any case, having girls see my FB profile before they've met me is definitely going to hinder rather than help me.
Obviously, creating a good FB profile would be the best solution to this problem, but I don't have the photos and social circle to make it look really good atm. So that's a long-term solution, but not something I can immediately do.
