In the past 2 months the number of approaches i've made probably surpasses the number i made in the 100 months prior to it.. Around 70-80. I noticed a few recurring problems, some im very keen to answer (first one) some not as much.. Im sure it's very relatable to you all. (PS: im talking about cold approaches on the street and on campus.. All in morning. Im assuming these problems might be magnified at night)
- On pre opening: i love this. Absolutely love touching girls to pre open and when done correctly it could be sexy. But I've had a big problem with this.. Many times, the girl i touch gets genuinely scared/ startled- you could tell from their face! One has even told me "who are you?".. Now i was able to turn around some cases, but generally this can't be a good thing. Any idea why this is happening? How would you do/ improve this?
- This has happened to me just once, but still felt bad: i used a direct opener "i saw you standing here... " and it felt like a line.. I didnt feel genuine saying this (i've used it many times with success, but this happened once). Thoughts?
- on opening "from behind": to be more broad, just opening in general when a girl is walking.. The way i do it is i let her pass me if we're walking opposite, then turn after a while, catch up with her, and preopen. I try to do it from the side, but still feels like it's from the behind. It scares them. (Coupled with point 1)
- on eye contact: generally, what's the rules eye contact before initiating conversation? Im finding the whole "get her to look at you first" thing hard. Sure, it works in preopen, but otherwise i cant manage.
